The surrounds
Relax and unwind in the Perth Hills.
Surrounded by state forest and orchards, experience the magnificent scenery and wildlife that WA has to offer. Watch the kangaroos in the evening from the deck and the many birds that visit the cottage daily, including the magnificent Forest red-tailed black cockatoos that the cottage is named after.
The space
Redtail Cottage can accommodate up to 5 guests. Bedroom 1 (queen), bedroom 2 (single) and bedroom 3 (bunk) with an additional trundle. All linen and towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, gas cooker, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. There are two split system air conditioners to keep you cool in summer and cosy warm in winter. A smart TV, DVD player (with DVDs), hairdryer, washer, dryer, BBQ and firepit (available only in the cooler months), games and books. Free wifi is included. A high chair and baby bath are also available, just let us know when booking if you require them.

Discover some of the local wineries, cideries, pubs, restaurants and cafe’s. Walk through the fruit orchards, pick your own fruit (during harvest season) or go on an orchard tour. Walk or ride some of the Bibbulmun Track or Munda Bibbi Trail. Be amazed by our beautiful southern skies at the historic Perth Observatory. Experience some of the many Perth Hills attractions, such as the Victoria Dam, Mundaring Weir Dam, the Zig Zag, Lesmurdie Falls, Araluen Botanic Park, Kalamunda History Village, and the Kalamunda Markets.
